Settimana Coppi e Bartali UCI 2.1 is history – Team Vorarlberg non-stop to the season opener in Austria!

Squadra Vorarlberg says ciao bella Italia after the Coppi e Bartali UCI 2.1 – non-stop to the season opener in Austria

The last stage on Saturday from Brisighella to Forli over 132 kilometers was ridden to the limit by the World Tour teams. The overall classification was still open. Only half of the riders finished the race. Alexander Konychev and Jannis Peter were able to ride in the first peloton until 25 kilometers before the finish, but then had to give way. Colin Stüssi did not compete today and is concentrating on tomorrow’s race. The next race in Austria awaits.

Winner of the final stage today was Australian Jay Vine from Team UAE Emirates. Visma-lease a bike pro Ben Tulett (GBR) took the overall classification.

“Overall, the team presented itself very well and made a good impression in Italy. We were in the leading group for three days and were able to ride in the final third. Something was still missing in the final. But we were aware of that, but it was very good racing kilometers for the rest of the season!” Moran Vermeulen – Sporting Director
