Team Vorarlberg battles on four fronts – Alexander Konychev sixth in the time trial at the Games of the Small States in Andorra!

Monster program ahead for Team Vorarlberg – Alexander Konychev in sixth place in the time trial at the Olympic Games in Andorra

To kick off the next intensive block of races, Alexander Konychev was in Olympic action today! For his adopted country San Marino, the 26-year-old started today in the time trial of the Olympic Games of the Small States in Andorra. He finished sixth in the short but intense 15-kilometer time trial. The winner was Andreas Miltiadis from Cyprus ahead of Alex Kirsch (LUX / LIDL-TREK) and Mats Wenzel (LUX / Kern-Pharma).

The road race over 100 kilometers and 1300 vertical meters will also take place next Sunday in Andorra.

Team Vorarlberg has fond memories of the four-day tour over 455 kilometers, which is being held for the 16th time. Twice they were able to bring the overall classification to Vorarlberg! The two Team Vorarlberg pros want to build on their great results in the UCI Gravel World Series next Saturday in the 122-kilometer gravel road race.

Kilian Feurstein ahead of national team debut on the road in the Czech Republic

The 21-year-old from Vorarlberg was called up to the Austrian national team for the first time by national coach Thomas Binder. Feurstein switched his focus to the road this year and wants to cut a good figure at the five-day Course de la Paix GP Jeseniky (572 km).
