Team Vorarlberg: Finals in the Caribbean
After a spectacular final stage and ten grueling days, Team Vorarlberg channeled its last bit of energy into a small celebration, where riders and support staff (physical therapist Alexandra Wohlmutter, mechanic Riko Rän, and sports director Paul Renger) raised a glass to a very successful debut in the Caribbean.
From back home, team manager Thomas Kofler congratulated his riders on their performance at the 75th Tour de Guadeloupe. “That was a real highlight for us. We’re extremely satisfied and made a very good impression as a team. Once we’re back, we’ll certainly have plenty to talk about—not just because of our performances, but also because of the huge enthusiasm along the route. At times, it was almost like the Tour de France,” he said, expressing the great joy felt back home as well.
Team Vorarlberg’s record in the Caribbean is more than impressive:
· three stage wins (2 by Kilian Feurstein, 1 by Tobias Nolde), one second-place finish (Colin Stüssi), and four third-place finishes (two by Emanuel Zangerle, one each by Colin Stüssi and Dominik Röber)
· wore the yellow jersey as the overall leader (Tobias Nolde) for one day and the green jersey as the points leader (Emanuel Zangerle and Kilian Feurstein) for two days
· a third-place finish (Colin Stüssi) and a tenth-place finish (Tobias Nolde) in the overall standings, and the Green Jersey (Kilian Feurstein)
· A brilliant performance by the entire team, including Dominik Amann, who put the team first
