Team Vorarlberg pro Ballabio tenth overall in the Istrian Spring Tour UCI 2.2 – Nolde in 12th place on final high-speed stage
Team Vorarlberg with a top ten finish at the Istrian Spring Tour – All set for green after a successful first race block!
Team Vorarlberg put in a strong performance at the demanding Istrian Spring Tour (UCI 2.2) in Croatia. The Italian newcomer Giacomo Ballabio demonstrated his excellent form and secured a strong tenth place in the overall standings. A valuable assessment for the rest of the season and proof of the team’s solid winter work.
On the third and final stage on Sunday, which led over 125 selective stage kilometers to the finish in Umag, the German rider Tobias Nolde was also able to impress with a twelfth place.
Voice from the management
Team Manager Thomas Kofler draws a thoroughly positive conclusion after the first intensive racing block of the season: “We are extremely satisfied with the start in Italy and Croatia. The performances of the entire line-up make us very optimistic. The team acted as one and showed that we are ideally equipped for the tasks ahead. That was exactly our philosophy for these preparation races!”
Outlook for the coming week
After this promising start, the team is already looking forward to the next dates. Next Tuesday, March 17, 2026, the official team presentation will take place at the team headquarters, the RadHaus in Rankweil. This is where the complete squad will be presented to the public. Just a few days later, on Sunday, March 22, 2026, the Austrian Cycling League kicks off in Leonding.
