Team Vorarlberg pro Colin Stüssi attacks on the second Tour of Hellas stage and advances into the top ten of the overall standings!

Team Vorarlberg with a strong second stage of the Tour of Hellas UCI 2.1 – Colin Stüssi now in the top ten overall

The second stage of the Tour of Hellas from Agrinio ended after 177 kilometers at almost 1000 meters above sea level in Arachova. The climb to the finish, which was not too steep but 20 kilometers long, turned into an elimination race. Team XDS Astana pushes the pace hard.

Colin Stüssi attacks solo in the finale – noble helper Jannis Peter on board

Twelve kilometers before the finish, Team Vorarlberg leader Colin Stüssi attacks from the 40-man peloton. XDS Astana and Jayco-Alula followed up and caught the 31-year-old Swiss rider five kilometers before the finish. The winner is Australian Luke Plapp (Jayco-Alula) ahead of Martin Lopez (COL / XDS Astana). Nine seconds behind them, Colin Stüssi sprinted to 19th place and Jannis Peter, who also looked strong today, to 23rd place.

Colin Stüssi now ranks tenth in the overall standings with every chance of moving up.

Tomorrow stage number three over 151 kilometers from the historic city of Delphi to Chelkida. Theoretically for the sprinter teams, but also for breakaways.
