Team Vorarlberg pro Hofbauer Finishes Fifth at the Austrian Time Trial Championship and Becomes the New Leader of the Austrian Cycling League!
Straight from the high-altitude training camp in East Tyrol to the Austrian Individual Time Trial Championships in Steinbach am Attersee. This is also the fifth race of the Cycling League Austria.
Großschartner dominates the race against the clock—Hofbauer finishes fifth!
In a race against the clock on the challenging 23.8-kilometer course, Pogacar’s teammate Felix Großschartner (UAE Emirates) was crowned the new time trial champion with an impressive average speed of 52.7 km/h, followed by Rainer Kepplinger (Team Bahrain Victorious). Team Vorarlberg also put on a strong showing: Leading the way, Philipp Hofbauer delivered a solid performance and secured fifth place on the day. He was followed by Dominik Röber in ninth place, Tobias Nolde in 14th place and Kilian Feurstein is in 17th place.

Philipp Hofbauer expressed satisfaction with his performance: “It was a thoroughly solid performance; I rode a good time trial. Given how things have gone in recent years, it was clear going in that I’d have to have an exceptionally good day to be in contention for a medal against this field. And I wasn’t far off today.”
Philipp Hofbauer Takes Over Overall Leadership of the Austrian Cycling League
As a result, 23-year-old Philipp Hofbauer takes over the leader’s jersey from his teammate Tobias Nolde, who now sits in second place. The team spirit of Team Vorarlberg is demonstrated by Dominik Röber and Emanuel Zangerle (currently in fifth and sixth place in the overall standings) underscored this. In the team standings, Team Vorarlberg continues to lead the table comfortably ahead of Team Hrinkow Advarics.

Sunday will crown the new national road champions
Tomorrow, Sunday, the Austrian Road Championships will take place in Schwanenstadt (Upper Austria). All the Austrian riders will be at the starting line.
