Three Team Vorarlberg pros at the Gravel World Championship! Stehli, Geismayr, and Feurstein are aiming high for the gravel party in Limburg!
For Felix Stehli, one thing is clear: If the equipment holds up, a lot is possible next Sunday at the Gravel World Championships in Maastricht, Netherlands. Currently ranked fourth in the UCI Gravel World Rankings, he’ll start the 181-kilometer race (1,500 meters of elevation gain) with bib number ten against nearly 300 elite riders from around the world. Daniel Geismayr and Kilian Feurstein will try to force their way through the competition right from the start!
Felix Stehli (SUI): “I’m really looking forward to the World Championships. It’s one of my big goals for the season. The long course covers very challenging terrain, which suits me perfectly. Last year, I climbed from 240th place on the grid to 30th. This year, I’ll be starting in the first two rows – that gives me additional confidence to achieve a top finish. My equipment is well prepared and maintained from the European Championships, and my form is still good!”
Daniel Geismayr (AUT): “This World Championship is a highlight of the season for me. I’m hoping for a good and tough race. It certainly won’t be easy. However, I feel in great shape and want to represent my team and Austria as well as possible in the Netherlands.”
Kilian Feurstein (AUT): “I’m highly motivated and really looking forward to my first Gravel World Championship. The competition will be extremely tough, with many World Tour pros. But my form is still good. I’ll give it my all to finish the season with my best performance.”
