Ready for an early start to the season! Team Vorarlberg receives invitation to the Tour of Antalya UCI 2.1!
Team Vorarlberg is ready for the 2024 season – Tour of Antalya UCI 2.1 gives Vermeulen, Stüssi and Co. an early start to the season!
Team Vorarlberg has never started a season this early. But with the Tour of Antalya, a UCI category 2.1 tour over 605 kilometers, a “proper” challenge awaits. The four stages in the vacation region from February 8 – 11 should be the best basis for the tours on Rhodes at the beginning of March.
Top line-up at the gateway to the Turkish Mediterranean coast
There is something for both sprinters and classic riders on the four stages. For Team Vorarlberg, this early start to the race serves as a clear preparation tour for the remaining tasks. With numerous teams from the higher categories, the Tour of Antalya has a very prominent line-up.
The following teams are among those on the start list: Bahrain-Victorios, Alpecin-Deceuninck, Uno-X Mobility, @36,5 Pro Team, Team Tudor, Polti-Kometa, CSF Bardiani, Bingol-WP, TDT-Unibet, etc.
In addition to Portugal Tour winner Colin Stüssi, Moran Vermeulen, Dominik Amann, Jannis Peter, Lukas Meiler, Felix Stehli and Jon Knolle will be racing for Team Vorarlberg.
Thomas Kofler – Team Manager: “The invitation to this tour is good for us, everyone is looking forward to the start. The riders have come through the winter well so far and can lay a good foundation earlier than usual. Setting new stimuli also makes maximum sense, as we want to raise our performance level in a targeted manner. The competition is not resting, and this is also part of our drive. I wish the team a good start!”
