Team Vorarlberg announces Tour of Austria squad – double lead and team spirit to surprise the stars Isaac del Toro, Diego Ulissi ….!
The composition of the seven-man Team Vorarlberg squad for the 74th Tour of Austria UCI 2.1 has been finalized.
Sports director Paul Renger and the team management have nominated a broad-based squad that has the potential to surprise – especially as a collective. Above all, the two declared team captains Colin Stüssi and Jannis Peter.
The strong climbers hope to be able to ride with the top stars of the tour for as long as possible. And there are plenty of them. The Tour of Austria has not had such a strong field for years. First and foremost the newcomer of the year from Mexico. Isaac del Toro (21 / UAE Emirates-XRG) second in this year’s Giro d Italia, as well as last year’s winner of the Tour of Austria Diego Ulissi (ITA / Astana-XDS).
In addition to the well-known strengths in the team, 22-year-old Kilian Feurstein from Vorarlberg is making his Tour debut. Clear goal: Get the job done and arrive in Feldkirch!

Colin Stüssi “Like Swiss clockwork – meticulous and professional through and through. Despite health problems in preparation for the Tour, Colin will go all in for the team as always!”
Team Manager Thomas Kofler: “We are incredibly looking forward to this tour. Especially knowing that after five stages we will finish on our doorstep in Feldkirch. The boys are well prepared and know what to expect. We have a great team spirit. And this is particularly important in order to excel. Our goal? To surprise on stages, top ten in the overall classification, or even a classification jersey. We’ll see – cycling writes many stories!”
