107th edition of Rund um Köln UCI 1.1 was not worth the trip for Team Vorarlberg
No success story for Team Vorarlberg at Rund um Köln UCI 1.1
This year saw the 107th (!) staging of the German cycling classic Rund um Köln over 181 kilometers and almost 2000 meters of altitude. It was hard work against ten teams from the World Tour and the UCI Pro Teams.
Lukas Meiler fought with everything he had in the breakaway group. After being caught, Meiler finished as the best Team Vorarlberg pro today in 38th place. But there are also days like this in cycling, especially as the last few weeks have been more than pleasing.
The British rider Matthew Brennan (Team Visma-Lease a Bike) won the sprint on the banks of the Rhine-Main, ahead of Biniam Girmay (ERI / Intermache Wanty)
Take a short breather and on to the Oberösterreich Rundfahrt UCI 2.2
After a few days off from racing, Team Vorarlberg continues with the Oberösterreich Rundfahrt on May 29th.
