A close call is a close call! Team Vorarlberg pro Jon Knolle finishes fourth in the national cycling league in Braunau after a strong Team Vorarlberg performance!
Jon Knolle just misses the podium in Braunau with fourth place after a strong Team Vorarlberg performance
The result doesn’t quite reflect how the race went today. Nevertheless, the test of form towards next week’s 60th Giro delle Regio Friuli was more than satisfactory. The fast course at the fifth race of the National Cycling League in Braunau over 140 kilometers (average 45.1 km/h) was simply too flat to bring about a compelling decision.
So it was Jon Knolle who fought with Colin Stüssi and Lukas Meiler for victory in the final. He started the sprint a little too early and was “overrun” by three opponents and finished fourth. Lukas Meiler (11th), Colin Stüssi (12th) and Felix Stehli (15th) complete the top 15. Austrian Sebastian Schönberger (Team Felt-Felbermayr) wins ahead of Jaka Primozic (SLO / Hrinkow).
