Bitter for Team Vorarlberg! Colin Stüssi has to miss Int. Oberösterreich Rundfahrt UCI 2.2 forgo – Now more than ever!
Team Vorarlberg without captain Colin Stüssi for the 15th Int. Oberösterreich Rundfahrt – New tactics – new luck!
That was not good news yesterday on the day of departure for the four-day, 490-kilometer round trip to Linz. Colin Stüssi, who recently finished 18th in the GP of the canton of Aargau, had to withdraw with flu symptoms. It’s a pity, because Colin was a real force to be reckoned with in the overall standings.
Now more than ever!
Pirmin Benz was nominated as a replacement driver. The leader positions will now be redistributed, opening up new opportunities for Lukas Meiler, Jannis Peter, Moran Vermeulen, Alexander Konychev and Dominik Amann. As always, the decision will be made on Sunday on the tough climb up the Hinterstoder Höss.
The 700 meter long prologue will take place late tonight as a mountain sprint in Linz. The starting field is very strong with over 20 teams from many nations.
The results will be available online here from around 9.00 pm https://www.procyclingstats.com/race/oberosterreichrundfahrt/2024/stage-0
Or to be seen live from 18.30 at Studio K19 https://k19.at/live/48
