15th International Grand Prix Vorarlberg UCI 1.2: Top-class cycling spectacle attracts top pros to Nenzing!

On Labor Day, May 1, 2026, the market town of Nenzing will be transformed into the epicenter of international cycling for the 15th time in a row. The prestigious Grand Prix Vorarlberg, held for the fourth time as Austria’s only UCI one-day World Cup race, promises a thrilling duel for valuable UCI world ranking points and points for the Austrian Cycling League. Around 160 pros from over 20 nations and 23 teams will be battling it out for victory on the challenging course.

The unchanged route initially leads the riders over eight laps with start and finish in Nenzing via the Rönserberg. The spectacular finale then consists of three difficult final laps up to Alpencamping Nenzing and back to the finish via Beschling. A selective course on which there will only be one deserving winner.

After several years of absence, the Dutch top team VISMA | Lease a Bike, an absolute reference in professional cycling, is returning to the Grand Prix Vorarlberg this year. With a 5-star line-up, this team goes into the race as the clear favorite to win the day. But the local  Team Vorarlberg accepts the challenge and will start in the best possible formation. The final selection will be made by Wednesday, but it can already be assumed that local hero Kilian Feurstein (Dornbirn), as well as leader  Colin StüssiEmanuel ZangerleDominik Röber and Tobias Nolde as a fixed starter.

Sports Director Paul Renger is looking forward to the showdown with confidence: “The Vorarlberg Grand Prix is our first goal for this season. Team Vorarlberg invites you to dance!

The past few weeks have been extremely intense for Pro Team Vorarlberg. Coming straight from the demanding Tour of the Alps, the team celebrated an impressive victory on Sunday at the Cherry Blossom Race in Wels through Tobias Nolde. Sports Director Paul Renger will be fielding the strongest possible line-up in order to have a say in the battle for victory.

Thomas Kofler (OC manager) and Jürgen Schatzmann (ORGA manager of the GP Vorarlberg) in unison: “We are ready for Friday. Vorarlberg can look forward to an exciting cycling festival. It is also pleasing that we can once again count on so many helpers. And that the sponsors remain loyal to us. This is the basis for making such top-class cycling events possible. The authorities have given the green light. Almost 200 kids have already registered for the Käferle Cup starting at 9 am. This is also an indication that cycling is more than popular. See you soon in Nenzing on the day of RADSPORTS!”
