Team Vorarlberg pro Jon Knolle races to fourth place in the ASVÖ King of the Lake individual time trial

It’s the biggest individual time trial in Europe – the KOTL! Last year, Team Vorarlberg pro Moran Vermeulen was crowned King of the Lake. He took 56 minutes and 53 seconds to complete the 47.2 kilometers in 2023. This year, Moran acted as sporting director for the three Team Vorarlberg pros Jon Knolle, Nikolas Riegler and Dominik Amann.

The winning time in this year’s event around Lake Attersee was set today by German time trial specialist Julian Braun in top conditions with 55 minutes 59 seconds. He won ahead of the Dutchman Brian Megens. Behind Tobias Häckl (GER), Jon Knolle finished an excellent fourth. He was 14 seconds off the podium, but showed a super strong performance against the clock.

The other Team Vorarlberg pros are in 17th place with Dominik Amann and young Nikolas Riegler follows in 19th place.

Off to the OFF Season!

Team Vorarlberg officially closes its 26th season with the King of the Lake. However, some riders will still be taking part in other races, especially gravel events. Pirmin Benz has also qualified for the Gravel World Championships in October.
