The second stage today led over 178 kilometers over undulating terrain from Eferding to Ried im Innkreis.
Immediately after the start, a leading group of four was able to break away from the field and dominate the race until shortly before the finish.
Emanuel Zangerle sprints to seventh place!
The Mexican Carlos Alfonso Garcia (Team Petrolike) wins the expected bunch sprint. The best Team Vorarlberg rider, Emanuel Zangerle, sprinted to seventh place. Colin Stüssi, Jannis Peter and Lukas Meiler finish at the same time as the winner.
“The riders presented a strong team performance today. They were at the front at the right time and things can continue like this over the next few days,” said sporting director Paul Renger after the race.
Tomorrow, Saturday, stage three from Bad Schallerbach to Aigen-Schlägl will cover 141 kilometers and 2300 vertical meters.
