Circuit des Ardennes: Stage 2 – 175 km with start and finish in Rethel

Young, hungry riders who push themselves to the limit and sometimes beyond characterize the second stage of the Circuit des Ardennes. While yesterday was already hectic, today there is a mass crash at kilometer 66, which leads to an interruption of the stage. Fortunately, Team Vorarlberg was not affected. All six riders make it through safely and keep up the high pace (average 47 km/h).

The Czech Pavel Šumpik secures the final sprint of a group of three. 14 seconds behind the peloton with over 70 riders. Kilian Feurstein at the front in an excellent eleventh place. Tobias Nolde, Dominik Röber and Ignazio Cireddu also finish in this large group. Sports director Paul Renger emphasizes “the positive trend with Kilian. Now we are looking forward to the difficult stages with lots of climbing. We can expect a lot as a team.”

Frenchman Louka Lesueur defends his lead in the overall standings.
