Alexander Konychev third at the Graz Old Town Criterium 2.0

Kilian Feurstein finishes the Tour de IÀvenir UCI 2.2

New format – new luck? The Graz Old Town Criterium celebrated its return to the racing calendar on Saturday after a break of several years with the fifth race of the Austrian Cycling League.

The forecast heavy rain unfortunately stopped during the finale in downtown Graz, disrupting the race.

In a confusing finale, Team Vorarlberg pro Alexander Konychev finished third, improving to second place in the overall Austrian Cycling League standings ahead of the league finale at the end of September. Dominik Amann finished ninth. Hrinkow pros Bettendorf and Ballabio set the tone today, which gives hope for an exciting finale in Königswiesen.

Kilian Feurstein finishes the Tour de IÀvenir with a sense of achievement.

For the Austrian national team, Kilian Feurstein, along with Marco Schrettl (third in the prologue), was responsible for the best stage finish, finishing ninth on the second stage. The 22-year-old Feurstein was satisfied and had a wealth of new experience under his belt after the seven extremely difficult days in France. The overall ranking went to Frenchman Paul Seixas (Decathlon AG2R). Feurstein finished 77th!
