A tough rainy stage at the Tour Alsace – Colin Stüssi plans final attack on the last stage
The fourth stage on Saturday of the 21st Tour Alsace from Ferrette to Altkirsch with a classic profile over 133 kilometers.
In summary, it was a chaotic stage in continuous rain. But ultimately, the overall standings remained unchanged. Emanuel Zangerle complained of stomach problems, as did Jannis Peter the day before, but was able to finish the race.
Paul Renger, sports director: “Today was extremely tough. Constant stress and hectic conditions, and that in the most adverse conditions. Now we have to get everyone ready for tomorrow!”
The final stage on Sunday from Ribeauville covers 134 kilometers and 3,400 meters of elevation gain, ending at Champh du Feu. It is also the queen stage and will decide the overall winner of the tour.
