Vive la France – Team Vorarlberg with two youngsters at the 21st Tour Alsace UCI 2.2
From Wednesday onwards, French will be spoken again. After a two-year break, Team Vorarlberg is back at the start of the Tour Alsace. The 21st edition of the Tour Alsace is the best-attended stage race in the UCI category 2.2.
At the request of the organizer, a relatively young team will be sent to the start. Laurin Nenning, a 20-year-old from Vorarlberg, will make his tour debut in the team’s colors. He will be joined by Kilian Feurstein (22). Feurstein was also nominated by the national team for the Tour de l’Avenir (August 23-29) thanks to his strong performance in the Tour of Austria.
Colin Stüssi and Jannis Peter are two riders ready for the overall classification. Pirmin Benz and Emanuel Zangerle complete the team for the 580-kilometer tour, which kicks off on Wednesday with a team prologue in Sausheim over 4300 meters.
