Daniel Geismayr crowned himself E-Bike World Federation World Champion in Ischgl – Alexander Konychev and Team Vorarlberg continue their strong performance in the Tour of South Bohemia
What a ride that was for Daniel Geismayr today in Ischgl. The 36-year-old from Team Vorarlberg celebrated a dominant solo victory ahead of Argentinian Rene Gonzalo Lifona Deriaz after a ride time of 1 hour and 31 minutes.
Daniel Geismayr on the victory: “It was my first real e-bike race and therefore new territory for me. Will the battery be enough for the 1,700 meters of elevation gain and the relatively long distances? I knew I had to go all out and constantly push myself to the limit on every section. On the steepest sections, I was constantly riding over 400 watts despite the turbo mode on my Moustache bike. I took a big risk on the descents and was able to extend my lead in the second half of the race. I’m very happy about the win and it was a lot of fun!”
