First win of the season for Kilian Feurstein

First win of the season for Kilian Feurstein
Furious performance by Team Vorarlberg at the Schönberger Pfingstkriterium. In a strong international field, race director Paul Renger’s squad showed right from the start that their results so far this season are no fluke. Kilian Feurstein and six other riders soon pulled away from the rest on a fast 700-meter course. The septet was united and recorded a lap win, as did three chasers (including Dominik Röber). The jury then took all the other riders out of the race after 80 of 90 laps for safety reasons. It came down to a sprint of the ten escapees, which Kilian Feurstein won.
“I’m particularly pleased for Kilian,” said a very satisfied Paul Renger at the finish line. “Finally once again he was able to show what great potential he has.” Upper Bavaria is a good place for Feurstein. Last year, the Dornbirn native took second place in Schönberg. Incidentally, the race is being organized by long-standing Team Vorarlberg partners Dominik Dietrich (Hairstyling Dietrich) and Toni Jung (Elsaß Bäcker).
